The Department of Recreational Sports at the University of Georgia invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for Marketing & Communications. Reporting to the Associate Director for Programs, this critical role is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communication plans for the department.
The Assistant Director will lead the coordination of promotional initiatives, ensuring effective outreach for all Recreational Sports programs and services. A key aspect of this position involves supervising, training, and empowering a team of student assistants in the creation of high-quality marketing collateral and deliverables.
Furthermore, this role fosters essential partnerships with campus entities such as the University Health Center and Student Care and Outreach, aligning efforts to promote student well-being across the University of Georgia's diverse student body.
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
The Department of Recreational Sports at the University of Georgia is part of the Division of Student Affairs. The department offers a comprehensive array of programs and services and is housed in the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities, one of the largest recreation centers in the United States.
