PAYETTE, a dynamic, high energy, 200-person architecture firm with a strong commitment to design, has an immediate opening for a Marketing Manager with experience in the AEC industry, primarily focused on proposal writing and interview preparation.

The Marketing Manager will work independently and collaboratively with the Director of Marketing and 13 Principals to accomplish a variety of marketing and communications projects. This includes managing the workflow of the Marketing Department, which includes a Creative Manager, Communications & Graphics Coordinator and Marketing Assistant.

The primary focus of the position will be to oversee the proposal process including proposal writing, layout and quality control, interview preparation and other writing and editing needs including conference and publication submittals, design awards, website and blog articles. The Marketing Manager will also lead the strategy, preparation and rehearsals for project interviews, including the creation of presentations in a variety of formats. They will assume a leadership role for complex presentations.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A great deal of creativity and the ability to work independently is expected.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in the AEC industry, primarily focused on proposals and interviews
• Strong leadership skills including the ability to manage multiple team projects simultaneously. Supervisory experience in the AEC industry preferred
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience with graphic design or a high level of design sensibility
• Excellent computer skills, particularly with Adobe InDesign and PowerPoint
• Experience managing projects through all phases of production
• Ability to perform quality work to meet deadlines and prioritize projects
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as interact with large groups
• Strong initiative and inquisitiveness
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Organization, self-discipline, good time management
• Ability to communicate well, listen and achieve consensus
