Under general supervision, the Marketing Specialist for UAB Center for the Arts develops and implements a comprehensive and strategic marketing and communication plan for the Alys Stephens Center, Abroms-Engel Institute of Visual Art, ArtPlay, and Arts in Medicine as well as residential partners, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Departments of Music and Theatre including web, print, video and other traditional media. Works with clients to establish and continuously refine strategic development of their web sites, develop promotional, marketing and communications. Coordinates with other Public Relations Marketing units to plan, implement and deliver marketing communications products, projects and services.

UAB Center for the Arts is an organization comprised of the Alys Stephens Center, Abroms Engel Institute of Visual Art, ArtPlay Community Education, and Arts in Medicine. The Marketing Team is a central unit that provides services to all four departments.

Annual Salary Range: $47,665 - $61,965

Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field and three (3) years of Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising and/or social media relevant experience. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
