The Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc. (HCCVB, Inc.) d/b/a Visit Hendricks County (VHC) is hiring a Digital Content Coordinator to develop and manage content for the organization’s owned and leased communication channels including but not limited to social media channels, third party websites, digital platforms and more. They will support the primary functions of the entire marketing department through organization and project management of all HCCVB, Inc. owned visual, video, and posted content.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate, organize and strategize organic and paid social media efforts to engage audiences on digital platforms and owned communication channels.
Produce and curate updated content for HCCVB, Inc.’s owned and leased online/digital communication channels. Develop content to create engagement and desired conversion events using best practices.
Stay up to date on the latest trends in social media, including vertical video and other visual media formats, continuously looking to find ways to reach expanded audiences with HCCVB, Inc’s messaging.
Manage, compile, and solicit the information for the events calendar. This includes soliciting events through partners and through scraped data, utilizing content calendars, and disseminating the information through our website, social channels, onsite partner flyers, VHC publications, etc.
Monitor and maintain digital visitor requests, questions, feedback, and discussions through the HCCVB, Inc. owned websites and digital channels including monitoring the website for broken links and misinformation/outdated information.
Create and maintain a consistent voice across HCCVB, Inc. channels. Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries and comments using good judgement and following HCCVB, Inc.’s digital/social media policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.
Skills and abilities in oral and written communication, cooperation, problem solving, collaboration, social media marketing, digital marketing, writing for online communications
At least two (2) years of experience in marketing preferred
One (1) year managing social media for a brand preferred
Knowledge of office software particularly MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Knowledge of specialized industry software such as SimpleView, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Digital Asset Management Software
