The Royal Group, a subsidiary of Schwarz Partners is currently seeking Field Sales Manager to support our Cicero, IL facility. The Field Sales Manager oversees and supervises the efforts of a field sales force including development and monitoring of sales initiatives, sales volume, and product. Works closely with customer service, design, and marketing areas to achieve clients’ needs and company objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Supervise, manage, and direct the sales staff by recruiting, selecting, hiring, and training. Collaborate with related departments (e.g., design, sales service, scheduling, customer service, and shipping) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures to educate, develop, and motivate sales staff to provide excellent customer service and maximize sales.
- Monitor sales volume, product mix, and market changes and analyze and use information to make and recommend equipment, personnel, product, and inventory changes to maximize sales and profits.
- Maintain a working knowledge of profit and loss statements and estimates; forecast the profit level of box products based on production capabilities; prepare annual sales forecasts.
- Provide excellent customer service by overseeing credit controls and granting credit to customers when necessary and maintaining customer contacts with all major accounts.
- Recruit, select, and assist in training new sales staff members. Educate, develop, motivate, and guide team members, and provide support and direction to reach goals and maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Responsible for determining the profit level of box products based on production capabilities.
- Establish trust and positive relationships with clients to better understand and fulfill their needs.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Prepare annual sales forecast analysis.
- Comply with company policies and procedure and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Oversees employees training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in business or related field. Professional experience in lieu of education.
- Five years’ sales experience with preference in the corrugated industry.
- Five years’ management experience.
- Ten years’ sales experience in any other industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
PREFFERED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in business administration or related field.
- Sales experience in the Corrugated Industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, training, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage, area, and volume. Ability to compute cost, profits, rates, and ratios.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Leadership Attributes – must possess the following: Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effecting and efficient meeting. Excellent crisis manager who demonstrates that he/she has a high emotional control under adverse conditions and can lead his/her personnel to a successful resolution. Professional appearance to support his/her role as a managerial representative.
- Excellent employee relations skills, being an active listener, understanding how to appraise personnel, applying both positive and corrective feedback, being able to resolve conflicts either involving directly or as a third party.
