Responsibilities: Sell and market fertilizer products to customers in the assigned sales territory. The focus will be on selling packaged fertilizer products to customers in the golf course, landscape, and nursery markets with a priority on golf courses. The individual will travel throughout their assigned sales territory to visit golf course superintendents and other customers. All sales representatives must have a sufficient level of technical knowledge concerning fertilizers, turf management, and horticulture as well as a high level of understanding the science behind our company’s fertilizer products and their attributes. Learning the specific product preferences for each customer and providing solutions in line with the customer’s needs will be required to succeed. Sales representatives will be utilizing Salesforce Sales Cloud to record their sales activities and ensure effective customer relationship management.
2-3 years of experience in fertilizer and/or turf sales.
Technical knowledge and understanding regarding fertilizers, turf management, and horticulture.
A network of contacts within the Florida golf course market is also preferred.
