GE Turf is looking for an Independent Sales Representative in Northern Virginia and Washington DC area.  GE Turf is an established and successful family run business of 32 years that focuses on helping Golf Course Superintendents and Sports Turf Managers achieve True Plant Health.  

Our success is driven by a consultative sales approach where quality products combined with industry experience and understanding of turf science help our customers achieve the best results.  We are looking for a self-motivated, disciplined individual to grow the Eastern Tennessee territory.

Product lines include: FLORATINE, CALCIUM PRODUCTS, NINJA TINES, CTI TINES and PREDICT-N7 SOFTWARE.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong, ongoing relationships with new and existing customers
• Perform GE Turf Audits to identify customer needs and recommend product solutions that provide customers with maximum results
• Create, plan, and deliver soil test presentations, including making recommendations backed by turf science
• Meet sales goals and objectives by focusing on helping customers achieve results

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in a Turf related field
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Turf-Related field
• Excellent professional and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize client visits, along with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
• Proven track record of successfully managing relationships
• Previous experience in selling or managing client relationships is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including use of PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to travel with some overnight stays
• Ability to lift 50-60 pounds
