Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this individual will focus on communications and marketing for PRSA membership and the APR credential. They will use their creativity and ability to manage projects to raise awareness and increase membership and engagement. The Career Resource component also requires promotion of Jobcenter platform and supporting of member benefit.
The Marketing Associate is responsible for execution of tactical marketing plans and project flow (trafficking) between internal departments and the vendors and marketing team members responsible for all promotions and campaign content deliverables. The Associate is responsible for supervising the development of all creative content for advertising, social media and other digital channels. The Associate is also responsible for executing direct member outreach regarding new member welcome webinars, lapsed member outreach, and Chapter management outreach including toolkits.
Associate is responsible for ordering, tracking, delivery and troubleshooting of branded promotional items (swag) for use at conferences and events.
Associate will monitor schedules, budgets, team deliverables, and campaign performance and results. The Associate will assist in development of annual key messages for product lines and will execute light writing assignments for internal clients and assist in collecting and editing content for newsletters.
The Marketing Team serves as an internal agency resource for the various lines of business in executing annual marketing and promotion plans.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effective team player with strong marketing campaign experience who will stay in the weeds to ensure successful activation of all tactics
Owning relationships with key internal stakeholders and developing deep relationships that demonstrate Marketing Team’s commitment to PRSA’s mission.
Knowledge must include an understanding of both digital and traditional marketing and communication methods.
The Associate is responsible for implementation and monitoring of all digital content on advertising and social media channels and in print and other media distribution channels.
Support the design and implementation of member surveys as needed and requested by management, Responsible for setup, execution and results reporting (not analysis) of survey data. This will include regular surveys to lapsed members and other surveys implemented as needed.
Foster consistent brand results measurement, robust industry and brand analytics, and a focus on results to continuously improve effectiveness and ROI for the brand.
Stay current on market, competition, and trends including analyzing current marketing tactics, concepts, practices, and procedures.
Schedule and lead calls and meetings with internal clients and member volunteer committees.
Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints
Communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives and project metrics, as well as to brainstorm fresh strategies
Organizes database of approved images and graphics for PRSA campaigns
Works with a team to develop concepts for advertising campaigns.
Proofing and editing for all marketing materials.
Understands and ensures consistent branding across all projects.
Contributes to the content marketing strategy.
Creates social media posts.
Support sponsorship sales team in executing deliverables as assigned.
Coordinates project production with appropriate team members, including articles for newsletters, promotional flyers, website content, magazines, blogs, brochures, forms, social media, videos, etc.
Tracks invoices and expenses per department guidelines.
Attends member events as needed but no more than 5% travel.
Completes other marketing, public relations and communications projects as assigned.
Experience:
Strong collaboration and project management experience.
Ability to maintain financial records (budget), project management calendars and timelines.
Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
3-5 years of relevant experience in marketing communications.
Excellent understanding of brand management.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Efficient time and tasks management.
Proficiency in social media channels required.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred, not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
Ability to travel (up to 5% travel).
Experience in marketing and/or communications preferred.
Nonprofit services or association experience is a plus.
