  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years experience working in congressional and federal agency arenas.
  • Thorough knowledge of legislative and congressional process with emphasis in education, health care, economic development and/or budget and appropriations.
  • Proven track record of success in securing support for employers agenda at the congressional, agency or legislative levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in lobbying in a bi-partisan environment preferred.
  • Must have experience working for or with Congress and federal agencies.
  • Deep knowledge of the federal government and federal government processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized, flexible and highly motivated.
  • Must be a team player, but able to work independently, using initiative and judgment.
