Position Purpose To promote South Padre Island as a meeting and Convention destination to potential and established accounts.  Increase hotel occupancy by being a liaison between local event planners, organizations, hotels, businesses and clients.    Essential Functions Conduct direct sales efforts through convention and meeting bids. Become proficient in SimpleView software. Build block sheets and contracts for incoming groups and meetings to the island. Responsible for the collection of bids for potential and established clients. Responsible for meeting sales goals established by the CVB Director. Responsible for sales reports as assigned.
