Lowe’s Summer Internship Program Overview
Lowe's 2022 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE^® 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 31st and concludes on August 5th. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time position for those that successfully complete their internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.

Areas of Learning
Come spend the summer learning the importance of connecting brand with commerce! Students will have the opportunity to learn how to comprehend how shoppers behave, and how to leverage that data to drive better results and maximize profits. As an Online Merchandising Intern, students will focus on Online integration of core merchandising strategies and optimization of product assortments to create customer focused, omni-channel experiences. Areas of focus may include:

• Mapping out the goal state personalization and targeting strategy for click-to-chat engagement. Identifying which personalized segments to create journeys for, build an ideal state bot and agent flow (white glove where necessary), and explore re-targeting opportunities where applicable
• Deep dive into a specific customer journey within the digital experience. Building a go-forward business strategy utilizing quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, industry insights. Identifying short term, intermediate and long-term opportunities. Understanding digital operations to scale functionality and potential benefits to both the Lowe's customer and digital business.
• Endless aisle review – SWOT analysis

The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of an online business segment with guidance as needed. This role may also manage and own work streams with support from more senior level managers. This includes responsibility for supporting work streams end-to-end through the planning, development, execution, administration activities, and implementation stages to ensure excellence. Overall, this role contributes to online business segments that play an important role in moving the online business forward by driving ongoing improvements.

Education and/or Experience:

• Pursuing a MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Merchandising or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May 2023
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
• Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Strong collaborative, problem solving, analytical, communication skills, along with financial and business acumen are required
• Relevant internship experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
• 3+ years relevant internship and/or work experience with data analytics, merchandising, or strategy development
