Who we are: The North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH) is the statewide industry group for the tech sector. All companies, organizations and institutions are eligible for membership, given that technology is integral to all enterprises. NC TECH was incorporated in 1993 and represents 600+ members that collectively employ over 200,000 North Carolinians.
About the position: This role works closely with the entire staff to support the day-to-day functions of a member organization from activating and deactivating members to providing excellent customer service. This role must have a comprehensive knowledge of the organization to respond to members and non-members seeking information or assistance. This position plays a key role is contributing to membership/advisor revenue goals and in records/data management.
Manage day-to-day procedures including onboarding new members, processing monthly billing, tracking of dues payments and deactivating non-renewing members
Exceed new member revenue goals by assisting with management of inbound interest, tracking prospects in sales pipeline platform, fielding calls with prospective members and conducting research to identify prospects
Manage member database by maintaining day-to-day process for quality control and updates to corporate/individual records as well as group/list coordination
Serve as primary lead for the member directory and work with members on updating of their company profiles (i.e., logos, corporate descriptions, multimedia, contact information etc.)
Collaborate on communications by providing content for newsletters and social media posts
Participate in pre- and on-site staffing at NC TECH events and programs
Provide excellent personalized customer service to NC TECH members and prospective members

What you’ll need to Be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree with 2-4+ years of experience in membership, fundraising and/or sales experience.
Familiarity and experience working with associations, chambers, university organizations, etc.
Knowledge of and contacts within North Carolina business and tech community is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the capability to work with executives and staff of all levels. Skilled at writing promotional materials, membership materials and newsletter content.
Ability to take initiative, manage multiple detail-oriented projects and prioritize assignments.
Good collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), use of the web, savvy with social media and an aptitude to quickly learn and comfortably use other various technology platforms including CRM systems and prospect databases.
Ability for limited travel as well as some morning/evening commitments.
