This role will see you join a fun and dynamic marketing team where you will conceptualize, design, and create visual assets to support efforts across the organization. As a graphic designer, you'll create eye-catching visuals and will need to be creative, flexible and able to collaboratively with others.
What you'll be accountable for:
Working on a variety of products and activities such as: website assets, print and digital advertising, exhibition assets and displays, and corporate communications.
Working with the brand manager, you will develop appropriate creative ideas and concepts for the association's objectives.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software, and a professional approach to timelines and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Other duties may be assigned.
Meeting colleagues to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job
Estimating the time required to complete a job and providing realistic timelines
Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
Using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints
Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to colleagues and managers
Working with a range of media, and keeping up to date with emerging technologies, and creative opportunities
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches
Commissioning illustrators and photographers where appropriate
Working as part of the wider team with copywriters, other designers, and marketing specialists
Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
A flexible approach when working in a team
Excellent communication skills to interpret and negotiate briefs with colleagues
Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to directors and colleagues
Time management skills and the ability to multi-task
Accuracy and attention to detail
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field
2-3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in a range of graphic design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite
Experience producing advertising and communications campaigns
A portfolio of previous work
Wider marketing experience also a plus.
