The Viscardi Center is a Long Island based non-profit organization that provides a lifespan of programs and services that educate, employ and empower children and adults with disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a Vice President, Program Development to provide strategic leadership in creating and implementing plans for developing new programs and initiatives for The Viscardi Center. The position is responsible for creating new programs, services and social enterprise opportunities which generate increased revenue to the organization, and overseeing and growing current programs such as National Business and Disability Council (NBDC) and National Center for Disability Entrepreneurship (NCDE). Additionally, the successful candidate will create local and national partnerships with agencies and other sources, develop plans to strengthen current programs and initiatives, and create business plans, budgets, and other resources for new programs. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/CFO of The Viscardi Center.

Successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree and a minimum of ten years of senior leadership experience preferred, a proven track record in developing successful educational, vocational or business programs; knowledge of funding resources on a local, state and national level; strong relationship building skills and experience in business plans and executing programs. Knowledge of current and projected trends in the vocational, educational and employment arenas preferred.
