The Regional Sales Manager of Showroom Sales will be responsible for supporting Oatey’s showroom sales by being the point person for showroom sales in their region. This role will spend a significant amount of time in the field calling on showrooms, training manufactured rep agencies, and growing new and existing products in this space. This role is typically the first individual that meets with the customer, showroom manager, designer, contractor, tile installer, etc. on a day-to-day basis.
Expected travel 75% annually.
Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers.
Responsible for growing sales and achieving sales goals.
Successfully launches new products.
Lead expert when it comes to training / educating both agencies, customers, and end users.
Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
Acts as a company representative at trade association meetings.
Track and monitor manufactured rep agency performance.
Provide guidance for product selection for showroom staff, designers, and customers.
Develops and maintains relationships with key customers.
Serves as a channel between customers and operations driving top line and bottom-line sales results.
Continuous training through hands on applications, classroom, sites visit, weekly meetings with our rep agencies, and product managers that support the showroom space.
Ability to work within timelines and high-pressure situations, handle multiple and competing priorities, generate fresh ideas, and possess a can-do attitude.
Knowledge and Experience
Comparable record of sales experience required.
At least two to five years of sales experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and demonstrated analytical abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must have the personality and business acumen skill set to work with various individuals.
Must be proficient and knowledgeable on all products and be able to articulate that in routine meetings and presentations.
Demonstrate a business acumen typically acquired via a degree in business or marketing.
Education and Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
