The Communications Manager takes the lead role in creating strategic communications across myriad platforms and guides the overarching voice of the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth. Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, they work primarily on marketing and communications and collaborate with Hop departments, such as programming, film, education, membership and the directorate to create clear and impactful writing. They author or coordinate writing to support Hop events and initiatives and serve as the Hop’s primary editor and proofreader.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Four years’ experience writing for an educational, arts-related or mission-driven organization; or the equivalent. Demonstrated experience editing and/or proofreading. High level of creativity and versatility in writing. High level of organization and attention to detail. Experience writing for social media and digital engagement. Experience with digital collaboration and contributing to project management workflows. Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
