St. Joseph Catholic Academy is currently recruiting to fill the position of President beginning the 2021-2022 school year. The President is the CEO of a preschool through high school Catholic school and is ultimately responsible for the comprehensive fulfillment of SJCA’s mission.
The President should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal and external stakeholders, serve as the official representative of the institution, and be an outstanding leader in the governance of SJCA and the fulfillment of its values. He or she should foster SJCA’s Catholic identity through the modeling of Christian behavior.
Possess a commitment and passion for SJCA and the fulfillment of its mission.
Model SJCA’s Lancer Value System within and outside of the institution.
Implement the policies of SJCA’s Board of Directors.
Work closely with the Board of Directors and SJCA’s Administrative Leadership Team in creating, directing, updating, and fulfilling the institution’s short and long-term goals.
Establish the Board, Executive and Operations Committee agendas in conjunction with the Principals and the Board Chair.
Provide in-service education to new board members.
Collaborate with institutional leaders in identifying best practices to accomplish school-wide educational initiatives.
Promote communication and collaboration among the Administrative Leadership Team.
Conduct annual performance planning, professional development and evaluations for members of the Administrative Leadership Team.
Provide final approval for the hiring and termination of all employees.
Monitor SJCA’s fiscal health through its monthly cash flow projections, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Work closely with the Director of Finance and the Board of Directors in developing and adjusting SJCA’s annual budget.
Identify long term capital and expense needs as a part of the strategic plan for SJCA.
Cultivate current and prospective SJCA supporters via personal communication, particularly through in-person interactions.
Oversee and participate in fundraising and development events as a representative of SJCA and in assisting the cultivation of its financial supporters including alumni relations.
Establish and implement a strategy for working effectively with supporting parishes.
Identify benchmarks for fundraising goals and financial needs of SJCA, determine fundraising objectives and actions plans for the development department and hold them accountable for performance.
Routinely meet with the Principals and admissions function to ensure team is meeting the needs of SJCA.
Serve as SJCA’s Wisconsin Parental Choice Program administrator.
Represent SJCA in internal and external events that significantly influence institutional integrity and public perception.
