Coordinates and executes the public relations and communications programs and activities of the association to further the mission of the association.
Develops and manages education offerings of the association.
Oversees the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council and related meetings, events and activities, including the Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence Awards Ceremony.
Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities:
Plans and creates communications to the general membership; prepares media kits, brochures, flyers and other association publications as necessary
Holds primary responsibility for the production/editing or oversight of publications related to the association’s activities and events
Develops and maintains a system for media contacts, publication advertisers, exhibitors and members
Provides primary PR support to any Councils and Community Service sub-committees and other committees as assigned by the Executive Officer
Assists and/coordinates as needed for association events
Writes speeches and prepares special communiqués on selected topics
Prepares news releases on a regular and frequent basis and maintains an effective liaison and positive communications with all local news media
Researches and writes articles on behalf of the association for various external publications
Oversees the content and maintenance of all the association’s web site, and social media
Coordinates the development, management and execution of the Triangle Sales and Marketing Council and annual MAME Awards, including site selection, builder participation, promotion and onsite logistics; provides primary staff support to the MAME Committee.
Coordinates the development, management and execution of association education classes, including mandatory education for licensed contractors, NAHB certified classes, and any and all other education needs.
Provides regular reports to the Board and Executive Officer on all assigned committee and council activities.
Provides support to other association committees and councils as assigned by the Executive Officer
Working in conjunction with administrative staff, assures that all event and related information is entered into the association’s database and kept accurate.
Acts as a liaison to the NAHB and NSMC for related departments and becomes familiar with its programs and materials.
