Starting in 2009 by developing several pioneering walking programmes in the Balkans, we currently offer 200+ self guided walking and cycling itineraries as well as some meticulously curated privately guided treks in over 30 countries. The position’s primary purpose is to maximize the sales of our products, convert leads into bookings, arrange all booking components with our suppliers and on occassions provide exemplary post-booking customer service by email, live chat and phone to our customers, located mainly in the UK, Ireland, North America and Australia.
Your strengths will centre around your ability to understand customer needs and communicate your passion for our trips. You should be equally at home responding to new customer enquiries, converting customer proposals to bookings and following up on leads. After a booking is made, you will be arranging all the elements of the booking with our local suppliers (including hotels and local transfer companies) until booking confirmation. From time to time you will be supporting our back office by preparing and sending customer itineraries and travel documentation.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities
Sales: Maintaining extensive knowledge of all our products; keeping up to date with competitor products; answer email, live chat and phone enquiries politely, promptly and efficiently; track and follow up with sales leads and make outbound sales calls when appropriate.
Bookings: Convert leads into vookings and make all necessary booking arrangements with our local suppliers until booking is confirmed to customer.
Customer Service: Develop a strong relationship with each client; handle complaints/conflict situations using best practice guidelines.

Qualifications and skills
Experience in an adventure travel company, ideally specialized in self guided walking and cycling holidays, is a must
Passion for adventure travel is mandatory
Understanding and sharing of our values related to Responsible Travel is mandatory
Experience as a hotel receptionist or manager, restaurant manager, travel blogger, guide etc will not be counted as relevant experience for this specific position
Experience with computer booking systems (ideally TourCMS), help desk and chat software is highly desirable
Experience with email-based sales and/or customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English must be native or of equivalent level
Excellent email and phone manner and technique
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
Ability to work efficiently without supervision
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
Friendly attitude and high standards of customer service

Additional Salary Information: A combination of fixed salary and performance-based bonus.
