Higher Talent Executive Search is pleased to partner with the American Society of Landscape Architects to identify their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
As the professional association for landscape architects in the United States, ASLA’s mission is to advance landscape architecture through advocacy, communication, education, and fellowship. The CEO will provide compelling, strategic leadership at a pivotal time for ASLA and the landscape architecture profession. Landscape architects have a broad and profound impact on our world as they lead the planning, design, and stewardship of healthy, equitable, safe, and resilient environments. ASLA and its members are increasingly active proponents of planning and designing nature-based solutions to both mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and help communities adapt to a changing climate. The CEO will provide momentum to these efforts, and to expanding and diversifying ASLA’s membership and the field of landscape architecture.
The CEO reports to the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and collaborates with the Board and the Executive Committee to set the vision and strategic objectives for ASLA. The CEO is responsible for management of the organization, including oversight of approximately 50 full-time staff members, volunteers, programming, operations and finance. An inspirational leader and accomplished executive, the CEO will be passionate about ASLA’s mission and will have the skills required to enhance the organization’s vision and impact.
