This individual will drive sales and distribution efforts for KELTY by implementing a comprehensive go-to-market plan in alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives. The primary focus will be driving profitable sales growth, while enhancing the brands presence within the geographic area of responsibility. These efforts will require working closely with management to implement solution and marketing based selling strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Execute territory business plans to drive sales in existing and new channels.
Work with Sales Management to manage seasonal forecasts by securing a strong order book and strong product placement across assigned accounts.
Achieve prescribed sales goals and established account management activity quotas.
Review, audit and make recommendations to KELTY dealers based on inventory levels and product mix.
Coordinate, attend and participate in both regional and national trade shows.
Submit sales proposal, suggested concepts, and estimated costs for key account promotions to Sales Management.
Create brand awareness, technical education and training opportunities for KELTY categories and products.
Work in conjunction with key accounts to educate and train retail associates on the technical aspects of the product lines and how to best merchandise each line in order to create greater sell-through.
Schedule ongoing account visits to maintain brand awareness and measure market trends.
Identify and report competitive program and pricing information, product fit data, promotional information and other types of insights relative to the outdoor industry.
Maintain confidentiality while working closely with key accounts regarding all aspects of their account.
Actively participate in local grass roots activities.
Review and analyze documents, vendor agreements, and promotions prior to submitting to Sales Management.
Utilize the Exxel Outdoors systems remotely to perform related tasks such as, but not limited to: Running reports, checking inventory, placing orders, and adjusting forecasts.
Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable.
5 to 7 years Selling Experience. Outdoor Industry Sales experience preferred, other consumer product sales experience also desirable.
Independent, creative self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrates drive and confidence while working well under pressure and managing multiple deadlines and brands.
Strategic thinking and planning, and a consultative selling style.
Operational execution excellence.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Strong computer skills (preferably in Microsoft Office environment).
Must have excellent interpersonal communication, follow-up, organization and public speaking skills.
Must be a self-motivated hard-driver.
Must be able to function effectively in a team environment and earn the respect of team members through actions and contributions.
Strong presentation skills.
