Opportunity Summary:As a trainee in the Sales Representative Development Program, your role is receive the knowledge needed to transition into a Sales Representative role.

The Sales Development program is an entry-level role targeting new graduates and early career sales / design leaders to join the North Central Corrugator Container team for development into sales roles.
We are committed to assisting the right candidate to learn the corrugator container business and winning sales strategies in order to become Sales Representatives and change agents.
Within 18-24 months, the individual will ultimately become capable of being a Commissioned Sales Representative with a territory and customers of their own.
How you will impact WestRock:
Thoroughly understand the industry and target customers to qualify opportunities in alignment with WestRock sales strategy
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of WestRock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts
Effectively articulate sales vision and strategy to identify leads on new opportunities, manage prospects and develop a robust sales pipeline
Develop and execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create a customized experience for customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify value add opportunities to improve margins
Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction
Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with Sales strategy
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree graduate (degree acquired in Spring/Winter 2019 or Spring/Summer 2020) in Packaging, Business, Design, Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, Advertising or related field
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams
Strategic and analytical thinker with tactical focus
Must be organized with good time management to manage multiple customer relationships
Good communication and flexibility to adjust for different audiences
Student internship / co-op experience a plus
