Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Sales team at Hersheypark!
The sales manager is responsible for generating, developing, and prospecting business to increase Park admissions and food and beverage revenue from a defined market segment.
Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
Direct selling to corporations within the territory; conduct telephone solicitations and outside sales calls to prospective clients in order to sell Hersheypark picnics, outings, etc while promoting Hershey and all of its venues*
Develop new business relationships and incremental revenue opportunities. Write customized sales proposals utilizing Delphi, in order to generate attractive offerings for customers.*
Conduct pre-planning and make client appointments. Meet with clients to develop relationships and understand their needs in order to communicate the value of Hersheypark sales offerings.*
Research and qualify prospects. Identify and cultivate potential leads for Hersheypark business.*
Follow-up on requests for proposals and sales leads. Contact potential customers in order to convert leads into sales.*
Book and close picnic, outing, sellouts, and consignment accounts for clients within assigned territory.*
Entertain and conduct site inspections for clients to ensure events and facilities meet their needs and expectations.*
Attend trade shows and networking events to stay current on sales trends and to generate future business.*
Build and enhance client relationship to encourage repeat business and maintain the brand image.*
Serve as Brand Ambassador for Hersheypark
Perform other duties as assigned.
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 8 years
Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
18 years of age or older
Must have a valid Drivers' License
Industry Experience - Sales/Marketing/Public Relations
Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on details and planning
Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with guests
