Autism Alliance of Michigan is looking to hire a full-time Event Coordinator, responsible for every aspect of planning each of AAoM’s events throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to the AAoM annual gala, walk, all parent conferences, the new Young Professionals led event and any third party fundraising events. The event coordinator will be an enthusiastic member of the development team. This position will require 40 hrs/week.
Light to medium lifting may be required

General oversight of all vendor relations, securing best possible bids to present to CDO for each event
Manage vendor relationships once secured and ensure that all deadlines are met
Track all spending and meet with team regularly to ensure budgets are maintained and goals met
Work with CDO and development team to create and maintain an individualized event task and timeline
Manage all event set-up, tear down, volunteer coordination and follow-up processes
Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies for each event
Assist with acknowledgements and gift tracking
Third Party Events:
Review all potential third party opportunities, bringing all high potential events to CDO for final approval
General oversight of third party event relations including marketing management and tracking through the event itself and appropriate follow-ups
Responsible for any volunteer coordination, as needed.
Build and support pipeline of donors through event and annual fund strategies
Work with CDO and Development Team on all all related materials and communications
This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to be a self-starter, strong computer skills, flexibility, the ability to build and manage strong relationships and complete discretion.
Technical competencies should include:
Proficient in Google Platform
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Knowledge of donor databases not required, but highly encouraged
