Mission-driven, non-profit neighborhood lender and affordable home builder seeks highly motivated individuals for the position of Redevelop Project Manager.
The Redevelopment Project Manager works closely with the President & CEO to promote, preserve, develop and build affordable housing, mixed-use projects, and community service spaces. The position is responsible for overseeing all stages of affordable housing development and ensures that the objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all stages of development including feasibility analysis, pre-development, design, project financing, construction, loan close-out of projects, develop Pro-forma financial projections for new projects, develop detailed financial analyses and budgets. Manage development team members including architects, engineers, contractors, and manages the progress of all team members through project completion. The position will also prepare all project payment applications to government and commercial lenders in coordination with the accounting department, collaborate on the development of operating budgets, and facilitate a seamless transition to occupancy and the long term viability of the property, as well as other duties as assigned by President & CEO.
Bachelors’ Degree or Master’s Degree in Real Estate, Planning, Public Administration or Business required. Knowledge of affordable finance programs, and a minimum of two years of experience in affordable housing development project management is required, with demonstrated experience and a successful track record overseeing all major phases of housing development including planning & entitlements, financing, construction, and conversion to occupancy. In addition, the ideal candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be independent with ability to handle daily responsibilities and projects with minimal direction, have excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills, be able to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines, and have effective interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to perform detailed financial analyses of housing developments concerning site acquisition, pre-development activities, construction financing, and permanent financing, read and interpret architects’ drawings, legal documents and other complex documents is needed. Must be accurate and highly detail-oriented with follow-through skills, and be able to work collaboratively with project teams, different levels of management, funders, government agencies, and a wide variety of individuals. Salary $70,000-90,000 DOE + benefits.
