• Responsible for internal and external communication initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and proofing procedures are observed • Oversee content, production and publication of monthly program books and the annual report. Write majority of content, delegating where appropriate. • Develop and implement a vigorous content marketing strategy that supports and drives ticket sales and contributions through positive stories profiling upcoming Artis—Naples events and featured artists, exhibitions, community engagement activities, education programs, etc. • Work with Multimedia Web Designer to ensure communications voice and content reflects overall strategy • Provide direction and oversight to ensure Artis—Naples receives the best and broadest media exposure for the full range of its activities locally, nationally and internationally. • Serve as primary day-to-day media contact on behalf of Artis—Naples, including on-site media relations during shows, events and performances and media ticketing efforts. • Responsible for all organization press releases and press monitoring • Maximize press relationships, managing internal and external communications, and generating a high volume of press for the organization in the local and regional media markets to support Artis—Naples’ ticket and contributed revenue objectives. • Manage research and write press releases, calendars, fact sheets, institutional materials and other materials for both internal and external constituents. • Coordinate and manage social media paid and organic presence for Artis—Naples, staying updated on current trends. Suggest e-communications strategies for content sharing and revenue generation. Analyze ROI of social media marketing and report regularly on results. • Effectively communicate the Artis—Naples brand and all its constituent parts and institutional values • Work closely with the Artis—Naples education department to generate regional and national coverage for the center’s ever-broadening education and community engagement programs. • Assist VP Marketing and Digital Initiatives with developing and implementing strategy that furthers relations with a broad range of community and civic groups in SW Florida, with goals of improving brand awareness and increasing ticket sales and attendance. • Observe safety requirements. Reports safety issues and items requiring work orders to Supervisor or Safety & Security. • Work effectively with all Artis—Naples team members.
Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations. • Minimum six years’ senior-level experience in communications or public relations • Experience working with major non-profit arts organization preferred • Publications experience including determining editorial schedules, superior editing and writing skills • Proven experience using self-generated content to drive conversation about concerts, performances, events or organization as an alternative to traditional media • Microsoft Office products

Led by CEO and President Kathleen van Bergen and Sharon and Timothy Ubben Music Director Andrey Boreyko, we offer audiences more than 800 paid and free events annually within a variety of venues and settings situated throughout the 8.5-acre Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus. Artis—Naples welcomes more than 300,000 visitors each year for a broad array of artistic and educational opportunities perfect for audiences of all backgrounds and interests. The Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus is home to five buildings, including two performance halls (Frances Pew Hayes Hall and Myra J. Daniels Pavilion), The Baker Museum, the Toni Stabile Education Building and the Kohan Administration Building.
In the 2014-15 season, Andrey Boreyko assumed the title of Music Director and serves in this capacity for Artis—Naples. Boreyko is internationally recognized as on...e of the most exciting and dynamic conductors working today. This appointment, extended into 2020, marks his first American post.
The Wall Street Journal says van Bergen and Boreyko have ushered in “an impressive new phase” for classical music in Southwest Florida.
THE NAPLES PHILHARMONIC
The Naples Philharmonic has long been recognized as one of the cornerstones of Southwest Florida’s arts community. As the resident orchestra of Artis—Naples, the Naples Philharmonic performs more than 140 orchestral and chamber music concerts, as well as opera and ballet, education, community and special event concerts annually between September and June in the 1,477-seat Hayes Hall, the 283-seat Daniels Pavilion and around the Southwest Florida region.
In 2009, Jack Everly was named Principal Pops Conductor and continues today in that role bringing pops performances that celebrate music in its many forms. In 2017, Romanian conductor Radu Paponiu was named Assistant Conductor of the Naples Philharmonic and director of the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
THE BAKER MUSEUM
The Baker Museum is one of the foremost fine arts museums in Southwest Florida. The museum hosts several traveling exhibitions annually to complement installations of works from its permanent collections. Comprising more than 4,000 objects, the Museum’s broad holdings of 20th and 21st century art reflect the generosity and commitment of area collectors. Of particular strength are the Museum’s collections of American and Mexican modern art.
With more than 15 years of collecting and exhibiting, the Museum is dedicated to stewardship and scholarship from both its growing permanent collections and outside sources. At the same time, The Baker Museum seeks out the best traveling exhibitions from the leading arts institutions in the world—including recently the Smithsonian Institutions, Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston—to enrich the Southwest Florida community.
EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY
In addition to creating and presenting visual and performing arts, Artis—Naples provides robust education and community activities for students of all ages. More than 45,000 students from Collier County Public Schools interact with Artis—Naples education programming each year both on its cultural campus and in classrooms.
The Lifelong Learning program provides engaging lectures and study opportunities for adults seeking to engage more deeply with the arts.
The Friends of Artis—Naples, with more than 2000 members, offers activities, travel experiences and events geared toward creating a deeper relationship between patrons and the arts.
In 2017, Artis—Naples acquired the Naples International Film Festival, expanding its film offerings and providing a platform for the festival’s continued excellence and growth.
