The Business Development Manager will manage and support ACC Jobline; ACC Print and Digital advertising sales, as well as sponsorship sales and planning for various ACC events. This is a full-time, exempt opportunity reporting directly to the Director of Business Development and based in our Washington, DC office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate/support aspects of the association magazine, ACC Docket and ACC Digital Advertising sales operations and Event Sponsorship sales, as needed.
Manage the ACC Jobline (job board), answer customer service inquiries and act as a liaison between ACC Membership Marketing and the ACC Jobline vendor to improve existing processes.
Manage and assist with the deployment of weekly co-branded email campaigns.
Work with Finance Department to prepare and review billing information to be used to generate client invoices.
Understand the revenue expectations, as determined by the budget, as well as meeting all necessary deadlines for the sales/marketing process.
Improve the existing process for ACC sponsorship sales, client database, production processes and overall sponsor communications, including; creating and designing all sales support materials (specifications, pricing, insertion orders and promotional collateral). Candidate will also come up with new processes to make the department more efficient.
Act as a sales contact for other products sold and promoted by the Business Development Department, including advertising and sponsorships for the Legal Resource and Legal Strategies Departments.
Develop new products and services to increase association non-dues revenue.
Research, develop and implement solutions to enhance departmental productivity and grow revenue.
Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications or other related concentration is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience within a Business Development, Sponsorship, Marketing capacity, with some proficiency in event planning, email marketing and HTML.
Association experience is a plus.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Proven project coordination skills and ability to execute and deliver on multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Effective reporting and analysis capabilities.
Enthusiastic, creative self-starter who can multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen with ability to think both strategically and tactically.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to get along with diverse constituencies and personalities, including; members, chapter officers, staff and contacts at external organizations.
Must be an outgoing and extroverted individual that is comfortable and confident in interacting with both internal and external clients.
ACC seeks to hire multi-lingual candidates with fluency in English and a second language is preferred.
