We’re seeking a summer intern to join the Strategy & Business Development Teams within Koch Industries at Georgia-Pacific and INVISTA. This is a 12-week internship with locations in Atlanta and Kennesaw, GA. The SBD group is one of the most dynamic teams within the company and focuses on directly serving the company’s executive leadership by answering their most pressing strategic questions. The team is focused on providing broad, strategic vision for the company, including both organic growth strategy and acquisition/divestiture strategy. This internship position will work with either the Consumer, Packaging or Building Product divisions. Interns will assist in problem solving and opportunity evaluation, including strategic and financial analysis, and the creation of business plans for high potential opportunities. High performing interns will be considered, upon graduation, for full-time employment.
Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis. A strong problem-solving capability is critical to this role.
Analytical Rigor: Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative portfolio and growth analysis.
Powerful Communication: The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper, and with all levels of an organization. Able to make presentations and communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual’s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
Professional Skills: Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. Able to be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel and understand how to deliver on short time frames and be committed to meeting deadlines “no matter what.”
