Based in our Corporate headquarters in Peabody, MA you will provide applications support to the Sales and Marketing Team through demonstrations of SEM and EDS products to existing and potential customers emphasizing SEM in our Applications Lab, customer sites, and scientific conferences. In addition, participate and co-develop SEM and EDS training courses (in house and at customer sites). You will develop expertise and applications in specimen preparation techniques, including but not limited to ion milling based techniques.
What you will do:
Run samples and demonstrate assigned SEM and EDS product line to customers. This includes gathering as much information about samples and customer to aid in successful product demonstration
Provide clear reports from sample data acquired at demonstrations to promote our SEM and EDS products
Develop techniques for evaluating difficult samples provided by customers
Provide technical support to customers, sales, service and marketing as needed
Support Sales by providing up to date technical data and sales promotional information
Research trade journals and attend scientific conferences to stay abreast of competitive markets and products
Maintain open and effective communications with customers by offering post-sales support, addressing complex customer inquiries, and resolving complicated systems problems
Evaluate new products, software, or accessories from JEOL or 3rd party vendors
Participate in development and delivery of training for SEM and EDS customers as needed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 3 to 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with SEM and EDS products
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers both verbally and in writing
Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Must be willing to travel 30%
