EastBanc, Inc. is looking for a Leasing Associate retail urban leasing experience to support its expanding retail portfolio consisting of over 500,000 Square Feet of directly owned and third-party managed retail. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the candidate to be involved with, and interact with, every department that is essential to the leasing process. This includes, but is not limited to, administrative, marketing, construction, legal, property management and accounting. The candidate will proactively seek out new tenants to augment its existing portfolio as well as maintain relationship with current tenants and broader brokerage community.
Marketing, canvassing, cold calling, site presentations and site tours to prospective retailers/office tenants/brokers
Assist in the development of Merchandising Plans for Urban Retail Communities
Draft and negotiate new or renewal proposals within budget and time construction delivery schedule
Co-ordinate drafting of legal documents with EastBanc’s attorney and retailers/office tenant’s attorney
Negotiate and draft temporary lease for vacancies to generate miscellaneous revenue
Coordinate initial site and construction review meetings directly with retailer/office tenant’s corporate personnel and tenant’s architects and Eastbanc construction head
Review construction lease exhibits with Eastbanc construction head for budget purposes
Design/Construction plan scheduling via lease requirements
Conflict resolution between EastBanc construction head and retail/office tenants
Participate and present in weekly construction/leasing meetings
Liaison between EastBanc Property Management requiring retailers/office corporate personnel
Work with Eastbanc head of finance and accounting on annual leasing budgets
Maintain good working relations within brokerage community and other competing developers
Attend industry national, regional and local community meetings
Be proactive in creating new retail opportunities within Washington and Georgetown specifically
