New Relic Executive Communications Manager Portland, Oregon
We are looking for a leader to drive New Relic’s internal and external communications strategy for the company's Chief Product Officer (CPO) and his organization.
In this Executive Communications function, you will work closely with the CPO and his leadership team to drive both strategy and execution of internal and external communications efforts. You will use your communications skills to build an executive platform for our CPO and ensure his efforts are consistent, compelling and differentiated via internal and external channels. The end result is a narrative that is aligned with the company story and resonates internally and externally.
The CPO Executive Communications lead will be responsible for aligning communications and building connections among the product leadership and teams and be closely aligned to the CPO business results. Additionally, this person is responsible for the strategy and execution of programs to drive awareness for New Relic’s CPO by leading his thought leadership efforts to evangelize New Relic’s position in this fast-growing market.
The role requires experience with enterprise technology, partnering with executives, leading internal and external communications efforts and proven ability to successfully build and executive on executive platforms that drive results. Clear, concise and differentiated communication skills are essential. Teamwork, creativity and a sense of humor are important.
What You’ll Do
Build internal and external communications program for New Relic Chief Product Officer which elicit excitement, engagement, drive business outcomes and inspire employees.
Provide strategic counsel to the CPO and his senior leaders on communications approach, messaging and positioning, and influence internal stakeholders as needed to ensure communications are compelling and aligned to the needs of employees and business goals.
Partner with CPO to build his platform which will be focused on our products and platforms, trends in the market and capture the attention of stakeholders.
Plan and execute product employee engagement events, such as all-hands, town hall meetings and round tables to promote important news and information.
Partner across the CPO organization with key internal stakeholders to develop and support a broad range of internal communications initiatives and events.
Develop thought leadership platform and execute programs to raise awareness for the CPO
Create aligned messaging across functional teams within the Product organization
Ensure that all content (written emails, internal Jive posts, placed content, internal and external presentations, and beyond) is the highest quality, is creative and compelling and aligns with corporate messaging.
Assist with writing internal communications that impact the product organization
Manage external global agency team resources
Some travel is required
BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing preferred
8+ years of relevant communications experience. Experience working with product and/or technology organizations.
Excellent communication, writing, editing, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working for SaaS company and/or knowledge of APM market a huge plus

This is a full-time position based in Portland, OR
