Association seeks a conference director to envision and produce national conferences and other educational/networking events to engage and educate participants in the (amazing) insights and analytics community.
The director will lead the management, sales, marketing and administration of national conferences annually in the marketing and market research, insights and analytics industry.
Successful candidate will exhibit entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, ability to direct others, creativity, gumption, guile and independence while integrating with a great, fun team.
Key qualifications include marketing skill, knowledge of the research community and its practices, a keen business sense and the profitable staging of educational events.
Play a front-of-business role to conceive of, package, and pitch event opportunities in collaboration with the association's marketing, sales and event logistics staff.
Lead the content development and execution of the association's conferences and meetings through topic ideation, speaker recruitment and on-site production.
Managing all facets of the events process for the association including planning and implementing timelines, vendor management, expense monitoring and budgeting, record keeping, on-site management, staff and volunteer coordination.
Create and responsibly manage attendance, revenues and expenses, and provide timely reporting of results.
Serve as an active consultant across the association to encourage program innovation, utilize best practices, and deliver success and ROI.
Be a generous and entrepreneurial leader and team contributor.
Conduct post-event evaluation, utilizing data to recommended changes and improvements for future events.
Collaborate with sales team to ensure that the conference will support requirements outlined in sponsors agreements.

Superior writing skills.
Several years of relevant experience, including working on multi-day events.
Creativity to make conference experiences exceptional, memorable and build distinct brands.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-stress environment.
Versatility to work collaboratively and cross-departmentally while adapting to diverse volunteer leadership styles.
Experience building relationships with external partners and organizations.
Familiarity with audio/visual systems and technology.
Telecommuting is allowed.
