The Chicagoland AGC (CAGC) is a thriving trade association that serves as the leading voice of the area’s commercial construction industry and provides member companies with enhanced labor relations, safety programs, and educational and networking opportunities. The Association is seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator to develop and administer all aspects of the organization’s communications, including but not limited to the association magazine and directory, newsletters, web content, social media strategies, ad campaigns, and branding.
In partnership with supervising manager, the Communications Coordinator implements a comprehensive communications plan including content development, management, and distribution of the weekly and monthly newsletters, development and dissemination of select constituent communications, and management of social media plan.
Create and assemble content for annual magazine and directory.
Manage websites for association, workforce development initiative, and scholarship application system.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to create, update, and maintain all marketing material.
Serve as the staff liaison to Marketing Committee and marketing-related vendors.
Provide event support to the team, assisting as needed with meetings and programs, some of which are held outside of regular business hours.
Develop promotional material for spring and annual member meetings, annual golf outing, safety forums, young leaders programs, and other educational programs and social events.
Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Administrative responsibilities: serve as first point of phone contact for members, process daily mail, process and deposit checks for association and related entities, respond to member inquiries in timely manner.
Contribute to special projects as assigned by supervising manager.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
1-3 years of experience in communications role preferred.
Experience with website content and social media platforms preferred.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization.
Capable of providing excellent customer service.
Must be able to multi-task.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Proofreading accuracy and attention to details.
Self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.
