Heritage Ministries, a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, is seeking an experienced, proven leader for the position of National Sales Director. Reporting to the VP of Senior Housing, this management position is responsible for developing an effective sales strategy for the Independent and Assisted Living communities of Heritage and its affiliates. The National Sales Director will also provide direction, coaching, training, and support to the Sales Associates of Heritage and its affiliates to ensure that each community is achieving its sales targets.
Heritage Ministries is a growing company that currently manages and operates human service ministries in Chautauqua County, NY; Clarence Center, NY; Seattle, WA; Woodstock, IL; and Watertown, NY. Headquartered in Gerry, NY, Heritage Ministries and its affiliates directly serve over 700 skilled nursing residents, 215 assisted living residents, 350 independent residents and 200 children in multiple facilities throughout the United States. The ideal candidate would be located near one of the Heritage locations, but the National Sales Director can work remotely from any location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Direct the process of developing an effective sales strategy at each community, including methods to be utilized and targets to be achieved.
Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and success of the sales program at each community and provide directional support as appropriate.
Reporting and Conversion oversite: determine benchmarks for sales activity and conversion rates while ensuring reporting reflects activities and is provided monthly. Share reporting with appropriate departments and monitor ROI.
Ensure effective use of the Enquire software and reporting systems for the communities to promote management of sales information that promotes effective sales activity and effective national reports for Heritage. Assure that the Enquire System is being utilized to its fullest capabilities. Provide training to the sales staff at each community as needed to increase skills and effectiveness.
Conduct regular meetings with the Sales Associates, both individually and collectively, to provide direction, support, accountability and team work.
Develop and Implement tactical outreach plan: and implement across our footprint.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum five year’s sales - experience and understanding of senior living, assisted living and/or skilled nursing facility. Efficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel Power Point, and Access. Experienced and efficient with electronic lead tracking and reporting systems.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret instructions, policies and regulations in the English language.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing leadership and quality care.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Able to twist, stoop, kneel, crawl, squat, climb.
Able to reach at, above or below shoulder height.
60% of day is spent sitting; 20% standing; 20% walking.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the sales IL-AL activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the IL-AL sales departments.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Vice President Senior Housing and Services, as necessary/required concerning the operation of the IL-AL sales function.
Select, evaluate, counsel, and if necessary discipline department personnel.
Budget and Planning
With Sales Directors and the VP Of Marketing- and community administration, develop departmental budgets and identify capital needs.
Monitor departmental expenses and maintain expenses within budget. Identify variances and work directly with IL-AL Sales Directors to review and adjust department budgets if necessary.
Travel: Must be able to travel frequently to all Heritage communities.
