We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager who will work with our Precision Doors & Hardware team in Northern Virginia supporting our Alexandria VA and Sterling VA office locations.

Summary As Sales Manager with Precision Doors & Hardware, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong sense of integrity and superb organizational and time management skills. You must be competent in territory management, be able to organize a sales strategy and possess great presentation skills. You must also be a self-starter and problem solver who keeps the customers’ best interest at heart. This position conducts sales calls on existing, and potential General Contractors. The primary purpose of these sales calls is to create opportunities for the sales of Doors, Hardware, and Access Control equipment. The ultimate goal is to create enhanced relationships with the General Contractor community such that the location can build profitable backlog with both hard bid and negotiated construction projects thus delivering the goals as established in the location’s business plan.
Develop a sales strategy with assigned GC’s – delivering the C&B story thus enjoying relationships that increase backlog growth
A minimum of 1 to 2 days per week will be spent calling on existing customers and cold calling on potential customers at their offices or open job sites for both the Alexandria and Sterling VA locations
Assist in follow up on pending proposals
Maintain a presence in the field where we have work in progress. Attend project meetings as needed.
Using developed GC relationships, bring in opportunities to capture non-hard bid & negotiated project work
Proficient use of Comsense assisting with estimating when required
Participate in the bid preparation meetings.
Primary representative to AGC and ABC attending networking meetings and activities.
All other duties as assigned
4 year degree or equivalent work experience
5 years of related sales experience. Door Hardware, Locks, Access Control, and Security.
Strong Customer Relations skills
Strong Verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills including: Microsoft Office Suite
Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen and VA Driver’s License record check
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of Door Hardware, Locks and Access Control
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to move freely on job sites, able to access upper level floors under construction etc.
Work Environment This job requires maintaining an office within the unit. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Will require driving to GC offices, Architect offices, & project sites.
