For over 30 years, award-winning travel firm MIR has built a reputation as a pioneer in travel to destinations considered obscure, exotic, remote, difficult and even controversial -- from Tibet to Tehran and everyplace in between. MIR – from the Russian word meaning both “peace” and “world” – specializes in bringing people together to discover more about the world and, consequently, about themselves.
That’s where you come in.
We are a very busy team of hard working travel professionals who are passionate about designing award-winning trips and delivering top-drawer service. Join us to provide personalized customer service while managing complex travel logistics from A to Z (sign-ups/admin/budgeting/vendor communications/itinerary management and more) for a significant number of departures in our Seattle headquarters.
We’d love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications:
You’re one of those people with an acute attention to detail -- flexible, but a stickler for accuracy and organization, and who enjoys dabbling in a database.
You’ve been bitten by the travel bug and have already ventured to some of MIR’s destinations and are hooked!
You’re passionate about helping others discover the value of lesser-known destinations at the crossroads of Europe & Asia and would relish the opportunity to serve a sophisticated and very-well traveled audience.
You’ve leveraged your very-polished written communication skills and your self-assured and energetic phone presence to build relationships with customers in the past.
You enjoy working independently with minimal oversight within a team of well-traveled, internationally minded colleagues and don't get rattled having to meet constant deadlines.
You’re ok with an “old school” in-office position with classic office hours.
Cubicles in the sky are not your thing. Being in quirky Pioneer Square, in one of the city’s oldest buildings with tall ceilings and a funky charm and above a famous guitar store sounds just fine to you (yes we sometimes hear impromptu “concerts”).
You know your way around a Mac and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
Learning about the day-to-day operations of a highly specialized entrepreneurial-oriented boutique adventure travel company is a place you can see yourself fitting right into.
