The North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH) is the statewide industry group for the tech sector. All companies, organizations and institutions are eligible for membership, given that technology is integral to all enterprises. Roles & Responsibilities
Perform general administrative and customer service tasks;
Maintain member records database accurately and in a timely fashion, by entering new and updated individual/company information which will include reviewing, correcting and deleting data;
Maintain day-to-day process for quality control on data to include managing network and group lists, member demographics and tracking member involvement;
Serve as primary lead on membership renewal processes to include timeline management, database updates, email communications and renewal mailings;
Assist with monthly renewal/collection calls and member follow-up as needed;
Assist with processing membership cancellations to include deactivating members in database and sending cancellation messaging to employee roster;
Assist with developing and implementing strategies to grow individual contacts in the database, both members and non-members;
Assist with new member onboarding procedures to include creating/updating new member records in database, sending all new individuals added to the database log in information and mailing new member welcome kits;
Produce regular membership lists and reports as needed for management and communication purposes;
Assume primary responsibility for the edits of information and directory enhancements for the annual Tech Directory;
Conduct light research to improve quality control on data (i.e. addresses, titles, emails, etc.);
Assist and complete special projects for the database (Interactions, NC TECH Celebrates, etc.)
Acts as an integral member of the Membership Team;
Provide personalized customer service to NC TECH members and prospective members;
Effectively communicate with members and non-members about NC TECH benefits, events and resources;
Serve as primary lead for the online membership directory and working with members on updating of their company profiles (ie. logos, corporate descriptions, multimedia, contact information etc.);
Serve as primary lead for Get2Know NC TECH webinars/presentations and New Member Breakfasts;
Assist communications by contributing to the pipeline of members for blog spotlights and sharing member news for promotion;
Assist with registering members for events and new members for applicable complimentary tickets;
Provide pre and on-site support at NC TECH events as needed
The ideal candidate must:
Have good attention to detail.
Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Have good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multitask.
Be able to exercise good judgment.
Be a team player with a customer service mentality.
Be proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with CRM database management a plus.
Non-profit or association experience a plus.
