The Director of Marketing & Communications for NCNLA is responsible for overall association marketing, communications, and branding; promotion of the industry and association members; management of association publications, including a quarterly magazine and e-newsletter; maintenance of the association's website, as well as 2 other affiliated websites; media relations; and advertising sales.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications or similar
4-5 years of marketing & communications experience
Create and implement association marketing, communications, and branding strategy
Oversee marketing strategy for NCNLA programs and activities
Develop NCNLA's presence on social media
Serve as editor of quarterly Nursery & Landscape Notes, establishing editorial calendar, soliciting content, and supervising outside vendors
Create and implement advertising sales policy and maintain media kit
Represent NCNLA at trade shows and other industry events
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time
Oversee department budget
