Senior Director, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations
The Senior Director, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations directs and oversees all marketing, communications, content and design for the association including communications, videos, social media, web presence, marketing, public relations and magazine publishing
Oversees IFMA’s internal communications/marketing strategies and tactics.
Serves as a member of the Executive Team and participates in the development of IFMA’s business plan and strategies.
Translates business strategies into marketing and communications goals and strategies.
Supervises marketing and communications professionals who are responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies, plans and tactics to support all of IFMA’s products and services plus the IFMA Foundation, and FM Research & Benchmarking Institute (RBI).
Develops and implements marketing strategy for all products and services.
Assists IFMA Foundation, FM Research & Benchmarking Institute (RBI), and the Built Environment Technology Association (BETA) with marketing strategy and implementation.
Oversees the budget and staff for the marketing, communications and PR departments.
Reviews, gives feedback and assists with the oversight of the association’s overall fiduciary responsibilities and budget.
Leads the development of branding and website development for, and communications and promotion of, the future organization, with input from the collective marketing and communications teams, along with several groups of key stakeholders across the organization.
Oversees the organizations social media platform, plans and executes a robust social media marketing annual campaign.
Ensures that IFMA is aware of and complies with Data Protection (DP) law, best practice and any case precedents, interpreting law changes into practical policies and procedures.
Identify, test, and improve controls on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal data
Be the first point of contact for enquiries from staff on DP and subject access requests, providing them with appropriate advice and guidance.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications and ten years of related experience.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory management experience and experience in digital lead generation and social selling.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Publisher; Outlook);
Experience with establishing and maintaining social media sites and blogs; data analytics; and websites.
