Position Summary: We are seeking a creative, entrepreneurial, talented individual to join our small but growing team and help take our organization to the next level. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will develop and execute the marketing and communications strategies necessary to support WBL’s membership, sponsorship, and events objectives, and create powerful branding and messaging to communicate our mission clearly and effectively. This individual will increase current and prospective members -- and the general public’s – awareness of the organization and bring attention to our work to increase the number of women who lead health care companies.

This individual will:
Develop and execute a marketing and communications plan for the organization, as WBL heads into our 20th anniversary, a new strategic plan, and a period of organizational growth
Create and execute communications and marketing strategies around the organization’s various events including the annual conference, annual board leadership program, regional events, and virtual events,
Develop and implement marketing strategies for membership and sponsorship recruitment and retention
Author and send all organizational written communications
Evaluate and, as needed, develop collateral to market WBL’s programs and services
Coordinate and maintain WBL’s communication calendar
Create content for organizational newsletters, including member spotlight interviews
Oversee content development and production of print materials, including membership and sponsorship brochures, as well as print materials for WBL’s national programs
Manage organization’s social media (LinkedIn and Twitter) strategies and posts
Maintain display and functionality of website, providing new ideas and concepts to keep the content fresh
Provide support to the team in market research as programs and services are developed
Serve as the main marketing and communications contact for WBL’s sponsors
Suggest new programs and services to increase WBL’s value proposition to members.
A successful candidate will:

Use excellent grammar, writing, editing and proofreading skills
Possess a poised and professional demeanor, and sound judgment
Be self-motivated to work in a less-structured environment
Bring a high level of attention to detail and organization and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
Demonstrate an aptitude for project management
Have a positive, can-do, team player attitude
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and/or HTML is a plus. The role may include up to 10% travel (within the United States) and will report to the Director of Membership and Development.
