Assist the Development Department in day-to-day operations. Administrative functions include gift processing, donor acknowledgement, pledge generation, donor relations activities such as stewardship and cultivation; solicitations for direct mail; grant opportunities, including identification, research and execution of grant applications. As a key representative of the development office, present a helpful and engaging attitude towards all donors, board members and staff. Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills a necessity.
Provide data management including data entry, data retrieval through queries and maintenance of data in spreadsheets.
Coordinate all donor correspondence, including write and generate gift acknowledgement letters, thank you note cards and pledge reminders to donors and any fulfillment of donations.
Coordinate the implementation and management of stewardship and communicate with staff and board about stewardship opportunities and document in database.
Provide accounting functions for daily gift processing, year-to-date progress reports, purchase order log, budget expense/revenue worksheet as well as compiling development data for annual audit.
Provide office support for the development department including clerical, computer, research, supplies, data retrieval, reporting, correspondence, etc.
Initiate bulk mailings for donor solicitations including printing and coordination of mailings and all related mail functions.
Act as clerical support in compiling grant material.
Reconcile monthly restricted unrestricted gift records with fiscal department data.
Assist with preparation of special events and work events as needed.
Proceed with professional development when appropriate.
Commit to working pre, post and/or during activation of the Kane Center emergency evacuation shelter.
Perform other duties as assigned by CPO.
High School graduate.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Professional office environment experience with strong written and oral communications skills and knowledge of office procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database administration and desktop publishing software.
Ability to operate digital camera and related software.
Ability to operate basic office equipment including, fax, copier and postage machine.
