Garland Behavioral Hospital (GBH) is a 72 bed Mental Health facility offering a broad range of services for Adult and Geriatric Psychiatric conditions.
Garland Behavioral Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented PRN Receptionist with a strong area of expertise in telephone operations - PBX to join our team in developing quality services consistent with our philosophy to serve Garland and the surrounding communities. Under the guidance of the Director of Admissions, the Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing clerical support as requested. In addition, the Receptionist assists with various clerical duties and projects as assigned, and may assist with completing appropriate data entry and paperwork for new admissions as well as maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.
This is a PRN position : 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm on weekends ( Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility throughout the week
Key Responsibilities include:
Follow the facility guest relations program when greeting and assisting all visitors, ensuring all visitors sign the visitor log and obtain a visitor pass.
Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner.
Utilize the paging system to announce callers and hospital codes, as required.
