Disseminate information about Seabury, its programs and activities by way of various media, to include print, broadcast and social networks;
Build a library of stories and photographs which showcase Seabury's work;
Build relationships with key media partners and policymakers to promote organization, and develops all messaging content and press releases;
Manage the organization's branding and graphics standards;
Oversee the organization's paid advertising activities;
Initiate and build ongoing relationships with current donors as well as new prospects through meetings, phone calls, and other cultivation opportunities;
Create compelling, effective fundraising appeals both for direct mail and electronic appeals and oversees appeal process;
Oversee Seabury's individual cultivation program, Seabury Connects, including managing team activities and events, training volunteers, making follow up calls, overseeing graphics and video production and managing tour process;
Work with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Advancement Officer, and Events & Advancement Coordinator to maintain a highly engaging donor cultivation cycle and gift stewardship program to ensure that new major donors are developed, existing donors are encouraged to upgrade, and all major donors benefit from a close relationship with Seabury;
Work with outside consultants and Chief Advancement to create meaningful high-quality print and electronic newsletters and annual report that keep donors engaged in programs and give visibility to the impact of their gifts;
Develop in-depth knowledge of our extensive network of programs along with emerging events and initiatives, to ensure full understanding and accurate representation when communicating to donors;
Perform other duties as requested.
B.A. Degree in Marketing or Communications, or a B.A. degree in another discipline with at least 3 years' experience in communications and fundraising;
Two years' experience working with a human services organization, ideally one serving older persons;
Demonstrable achievements in the area of communications and fundraising;
Experience managing outside consultants;
Excellent writing and interview skills;
Understanding of social media and experience with Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram;
Photography and videography skills and experience;
Awareness of and sensitivity to issues that impact older persons;
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and working knowledge of a range of other computer applications. Familiarity with Salesforce, Wix, and Mailchimp an asset.
