Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Manager of Marketing and Business Development is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising and marketing plan for Tuerk House, engaging in community activities in support of fundraising. In addition, the Manager of Marketing and Business Development has overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, administration and management of systems that allow for the collection and analysis of data while tracking and reporting program level outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities - Contributes to the development of the Tuerk House strategic plan focusing on short- and long-range goals to meet Organizational funding objectives and enlists support from applicable areas.

- Responsible for developing and maintaining the Strategic Marketing Plan (SMP) on a quarterly basis that will identify short and long term sales strategies and marketing tactics with measurable goals and specific influencers.
- Establish and maintain a positive community reputation through involvement with external organizations as determined by the Strategic Marketing Plan.
- Facilitates Marketing Meetings minimally monthly or as designated by the Executive Director.
- Maintain timely and consistent contact with current and potential donors in order to establish, sustain, and enhance positive relationships leading to an initial gift, repeated gifts, and/or upgraded gifts.
- Develops and submits grant proposals for funds from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies; maintains comprehensive schedule of grant opportunities, deadlines, follow-up activities, and reporting requirements for grants received.
- Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and ongoing operations through examination of past records, individual and corporate contracts, and knowledge of community.
- Plan and coordinate fund drives for special projects.
- Develops public relations materials to enhance institution image and promote fund raising program.
- Develops and maintains donor recognition program including preparing letters of appreciation to be sent to contributors on a timely basis.
- Organize solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Inform potential contributors of special needs of institution, and encourages individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gifts-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with attorneys to establish methods of transferring funds to benefit both donors and institution.
- Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify potential sources of funding for research, community service, or other projects.
- Coordinates, facilitates, and participates in agency, local, and regional committees to promote the mission and the brand of Tuerk House.
- Coordinate Community Fundraising events.
