Description: The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) seeks a qualified candidate to fill the role of Vice President of Business Development and Investor Relations. This is a frontline position at the Chamber, responsible for membership sales and retention. Under the direction of the Chief Business Development Officer, the selected candidate will work closely with all members of the leadership team. The Chamber is seeking someone who enjoys communicating with people and has demonstrated success in closing a sale with clients. The preferred candidate will have experience recruiting businesses to join a membership-based organization. We seek a candidate who believes in having a strong business community engaged in policy advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic and savvy professional who has experience and a proven track record in business development, outreach, sales, and/or fundraising.
Experience and Skills Required:
Demonstrate an understanding of the Chamber’s value to the community and to its investors;
Meet monthly sales goals and investor retention targets;
Engage in various forms of research to continually develop and refine prospects;
Assist in the establishment of new programs and improved systems designed to increase the number of new investors in the Chamber and participate in continuous improvement efforts relating to investor satisfaction and engagement;
Engage and interact with key executives in businesses in Albuquerque and the four surrounding counties.
Update the Chamber’s membership management system to ensure prospect and existing investor profiles include high-value needs and any other engagement from the Chamber. Preference will be given to candidates who are skilled in the use of WebLink, specifically.
Nurture established relationships with major investors, which includes providing the highest level of customer service and coordination;
Expertise in the use of metrics to drive decision-making, sales strategies, and performance analysis;
Competency in Microsoft Office software; and
Must pass the Chamber’s background check.
Qualifications: At least five years of experience in marketing, business development, sales or policy advocacy. Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills and a proven record of successfully persuading others to take part in a particular effort.

Additional Salary Information: Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year DOE, plus commission
