Location: We have offices in the Chicago, Dallas and Washington, DC area but are willing to consider 100% telecommuting (remote) from a U.S. location.
Design, sell and execute sponsorship opportunities for the IRF Invitational, Leadership Insights Forum and Research Advocacy Partnerships
Develop, with the Client Leader/Executive Director, hosting leads for the Invitational, Board Meetings and Leadership Insights Forum
Work with events team and event underwriters to craft and finalize sponsor requirements and visibility
Create Live Auction Packages for the Invitational Gala Dinner and Live Auction
Secure sponsors for In Kind merchandise and amenity Experiences
Senior Director, Fundraising & Partnerships
Meet regularly with Client Leader/Executive Director, and Sales & Fundraising department colleagues to understand major priorities and goals and to provide timely information on sales and revenue generating opportunities;
Develop, distribute and follow-up on contracts.
Perform research to ensure strategic effectiveness and growth in new prospects, with a special emphasis on hosting and event leads
Maintain an aggressive schedule of contacts with corporate representatives, keep detailed records of solicitation activities in client databases and sales tracker, and interpret corporate interests to client constituencies;
Ensure that stewardship and reporting requirements are met to sustain successful sponsorships, and develop new relationships with client prospects;
Monitor proposal deadlines, prepare proposals, manage proposal submissions and create and deliver sales presentations;
Communicate effectively with sponsors through face-to-face solicitation and stewardship meetings, as well as ongoing and strategic written and e-communication strategies; plan and support execution of targeted events across the year; and
Provide weekly sales updates to the Client Leader/Executive Director.
Provide monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management.
Perform research to ensure Identify and solicit meeting and event sponsors.
Build lasting relationships between foundation and sponsors

Bachelor’s degree required.
Demonstrated success in corporate partnerships, sponsorship, individual/major gift solicitation, and annual campaign management experience.
Minimum of 7 – 10 years sales experience at a non-profit organization, association, or related organization required.
Understanding and connections within Hospitality and Tourism industry a strong differentiator.
Ability to engage participation from all levels, and generate passion for the client’s work, both internally and externally.
Disciplined self-starter who regularly exceeds goals.
Ability to work well in a team environment is essential.
Computer literacy required (Microsoft Office) and database familiarity.
Ability to travel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
