Customer Service Representative functions as a project manager, coordinating with the customer, sales team, and internal departments to processes orders for customized corrugated products. Primary responsibilities include obtaining the product specifications and quoting costs to the customer, entering orders into the manufacturing system, ensuring graphic and structure approvals are obtained from the customer; coordinating with purchasing to obtain quotes for tooling and other products Additionally, responsible for reviewing warehoused inventory levels, ensuring mins/max are maintained, coordinating with shipping on deliveries and schedules, and communicating via voice and email with assigned customers on a daily basis. CSR is responsible for working with customers on any quality issues, preparing the necessary documentation and credit paperwork. Also responsible for maintaining customer files.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel; ability to calculate dimensions and weights (strong manual math skills); attention to detail; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; ability to communicate across departments effectively. Works with the Sales team to ensure customer satisfaction. Must be self-motivated and team-oriented and enjoy evaluating and solving challenges on a daily basis. Bachelors Degree required. Packaging, Business, Design, Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, Retail or related major or minor a plus.

Progress Container was founded in 1971, in Lilburn, Georgia. A new facility was built in Lawrenceville in 1973. The company was focused on industrial packaging for the Georgia market. Over the years, two large expansions were completed. Progress Container originally became an innovator in the industry by being one of the first companies to have an in-house structural design department. In the mid-1980’s, the company began investing in equipment and technology to provide high quality color displays to customers who needed to address the changing retail and distribution markets. During the 1990’s, there were several equipment upgrades as well as an added emphasis on warehousing the customer’s packaging to enable them to optimize their just-in-time manufacturing processes.
Where We Are Going
Our new facility was completed in 2000. A new era began for the company and its customers, that included state-of-the-art graphics and design capabilities, the most modern equipment and expanded warehouse space.
