The CEO, Dr. James Leonard, is leading Carle through a period of unparalleled growth, navigating the changing dynamics of healthcare and the competitive landscape. To accomplish these exciting initiatives, Carle is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Development, a key leadership role within this dynamic organization.
This Vice President will be at the forefront as Carle seeks to fundamentally change how care is delivered and financed, while bringing extraordinary value to consumers, patients, members, employers, providers, payers, faculty and students. In addition to the network of hospitals and providers, Carle also owns Health Alliance Medical Plans, making the system one of a few in the country to have an integrated managed care arm with more than 240,000 lives covered in 2018 and serving consumers and health systems across greater than 5 states. In 2017, the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute was dedicated and in 2018, The Carle Illinois College of Medicine accepted the first class of students. This person will help reimage how to build from this exciting growth as a vertically integrated health system and present a unified vision for all of the critical pieces that make up the system.
As an executive within the Enterprise Strategy and Development division, the Vice President will play a critical role assisting the senior leadership team with selling an integrated care experience in the marketplace, drawing upon his/her sphere of influence and strategic marketing tools. The Vice President, in tight alignment with the Chief Strategy Officer and the Vice President, Enterprise Marketing & Communications, will lead the strategy function, identifying opportunities from organic and inorganic growth, service line development, and assist in creating a set of tools to bring additional standardization to bear on future strategic planning processes at the system and local levels. The Vice President will also be charged with creating rigor and discipline in terms of business development, customer relationship management, and the continued identification of resources and tools to leverage Carle's size and breadth for future prospects. The Vice President, will have the opportunity to profoundly affect the overall direction and delivery of Carle’s services, serving in a highly visible internal and external capacity.
