The Director of Development Communication is responsible for devising and managing communication activities in support of the Foundation’s fundraising goals. The Director assures that the Foundation’s fundraising plans and activities are properly and accurately represented and promoted to benefactors, prospects, and the general public. The incumbent strategizes and oversees creation and implementation of new philanthropic communications initiatives to complement the Foundation brand, in alignment with the Vail Health brand.
Designs, develops and implements a comprehensive communications plan and strategy for the Capital Campaign and Vail Health Foundation.
Develops and directs fundraising messaging, communications and marketing strategies for prospective and existing benefactors.
Develops and implements internal communication strategies.
Develops and integrates new fundraising materials and messages using print, video, online and other emerging technologies.
Directs the provision of communications services, to include executive writing, proposal creation, and talking points, in support of the Foundation, senior administrators and key volunteers.
Oversees design and production efforts of marketing and communication products for the Foundation.
Engages and manages relationships with a variety of vendors and consultants.
Devises an annual communications budget for the Vail Health Foundation.
Models the principles of a Just Culture.

Communications experience for a fundraising role required. Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant communications experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant communications experience preferred.
