Whitestone REIT is seeking an experienced leader to join the DFW office located in Frisco, TX. This rewarding role will be reporting directly to the Division Director and is responsible for maximizing all revenues across Whitestone REIT’s growing DFW portfolio. This tone-setting individual has demonstrated experience in deal making and leading a team of leasing agents by example. This highly visible position allows for tremendous potential enhancement within the organization upon delivery of significant results.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Leasing Department, including, but not limited to:
Identify prospective tenants and gain market intelligence.
Draft lease proposals to prospective tenants.
Lead the lease negotiation process of new deals and renewals.
Qualify financial wherewithal of prospective tenants.
Negotiate lease terms in conjunction with Division Director and Legal Department.
Conduct weekly meeting with leasing team and apprise Division Director of leasing activity in real-time.
Work with Marketing Department to ensure quality marketing information (print and electronic) is always readily available.
Propose and implement Annual Leasing Plans for owned properties (existing shopping centers, ground-up developments, outparcel pad-sites) and new acquisitions.
Gather and maintain market intelligence on all competitive properties within various trade areas; identify emerging trends and recommend strategic revisions in real-time.
Provide leadership, guidance and training to the leasing agents.
Nurture and cultivate a team of eager leasing agents for short-term production as well as long-term growth and expanded roles within the company.
Establish system of goals and accountability for total departmental productivity as well as individually for each agent.
Skills and Qualifications:
8+ years of retail leasing experience with managerial experience and proven ability to lead a team
Current TREC license holder
Exceptional communication skills and a team oriented professional
Self-starter; performance and results driven
Highly motivated, decisive and works with a high sense of urgency
Outside of the box thinker with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
